Scrappage or bangernomics?

The Seafarer – a captioned performance

Looking forward to the next of my occasional visits to the theatre, when we’ll be attending the captioned performance of Conor McPherson’s ‘The Seafarer’ at the Abbey on Jan 30th.

If it were not for the fact that the Abbey facilitates captioned performances, (thanks to the good work of AdiArts), I simply wouldn’t be able to follow it.

Wrote a piece about attending my first such captioned theatre performance here, although you’ll need a subscription to the Irish Times archive.

Tinnitus awareness week coming up

Someone was asking me about tinnitus today and I had forgotten about this article I wrote last year for the Irish Times. Might be useful for those not familiar with it. Tinnitus awareness week, which is being organised by the Irish Tinnitus Association, is running from Feb 8th to 14th.
